Dedra s.r.l. is located in Correggio, a town of around 25,000 inhabitants in the province of Reggio Emilia.
This town of medieval origin, linked to Longobard rule, was dominated by the Signoria dei Correggio for about six centuries (1009-1635).
It was elevated to a city (with the privilege of coining its own money and keeping a catalogue of its own nobility) on 16th May 1559 by Emperor Frederick I of Hapsburg and became a principality in 1616.
In 1635 the Dukedom of Modena managed to gain control of the principality and, since then, Correggio's fortunes followed those of the Estense Dukedom.
In 1860, following the plebiscitary annexation of Emilia, Correggio also became part of the Kingdom of Italy.
The most famous people from the town undoubtedly include Antonio Allegri (1489-1534) known as il Correggio.
Inspired by the culture of the 15th century and by the great masters of the age, such as Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Mantegna, he was a modern representative of the ideals of the Renaissance, thanks to a widespread use of perspective.
Through small paintings, mainly designed for private worship, he won important commissions that led to him producing the frescos for the cupola of Parma Cathedral, as well as several decorations for the Duke's Palace in Mantua.
Today you can see his masterpieces not only in Correggio, but also in New York, Dresden and Florence (in the Uffizi Gallery) as well as in important private collections.
You can reach our offices by taking the A22 to the Carpi exit. Continue for 2.5 km on SP468 and then turn right into via Europa. Turn left at the end of the street. The Dedra s.r.l. offices are located on the left-hand side of the carriageway
